Wow - can't believe it's november already....ok - so here are some updates for events coming up -note the order:

2. Hs Laser Tag - Nov 5
3. HS ski Trip - registration is due by the 13th - please take a look below...

MS Retreat:
Many apologies as it has come to my attention that some of you have not received this packet in the mail. Currently the youth program is going through transition with administrative assistance and things tend to be missed or delayed in mailings. I apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.
The following information along with important documents are at the front desk for you and your youth- please pick them up before Friday as some forms need to be notarized...

We’re Heading to Cedarkirk: Middle School Retreat Information 2006

Greetings friends – This is the big weekend. Please take note of the information below and forms needed for the weekend. If you have any questions please feel free to contact Melissa either at the church office 253-6047 x237, or by cell 293-1895. Blessings MSC PCPC 2006 Retreat Team

When & Where:
Students need to be at Palma Ceia in order to leave no later then 9am Saturday Nov 4th. Students and leaders will be traveling to Cedarkirk Camp in the church mini-bus and leader personal vehicles. Students should plan on eating before they arrive. *On Sunday-Nov 5th, students should plan to be picked up at the church by 12:15pm at the latest. Students will not be eating lunch prior to their return.

No cell phones please: At times these handy devices can be distracting. We ask that for this weekend students leave their phones at home. If this is a problem please contact Melissa at the church. If you need to reach your child, or the leaders at anytime for an emergency the following information is helpful.

Fun Notes:
We will be having a hoedown Saturday night in which the students are welcome to dress the theme. Bring your boots, cowboy hats, handkerchiefs, and any other fun country bit of clothing you have to dress the part for our event Saturday night.

Forms:
The enclosed forms are for you to fill out, please note that the Cedarkirk form needs to be filled out completely – each section initialed by a parent and then notarized. Your child will have the opportunity to do these activities if they choose so. If they decide not to participate it is fine, however we do need parental initials regardless if your student decides to participate- this is the yellow form.

If you have not already completed a pink PCPC form please do so – however if you have already turned it in then we have it on file. Note that the PCPC form needs to be notarized as well. Please bring these forms with you/ your child this Saturday AM to hand in.

PCPC Rules form must be signed by both a parent and the student, acknowledging that they have read the rules.

It will be a great time of worship, fellowship, and outdoor camping fun this weekend. We hope you are as excited as we are. See you next Saturday AM.

Next Wednesday night – November 8th – the Brooklyn SET students will have the opportunity to share their time with the Wednesday night supper group. If you went on the trip and would like to share, please contact Melissa in the youth office, or via cell, or email by Monday. We would love all students who are able to share, but are looking for 5-6 in particular.

PCPC High School Ski Snow Excursion 2006
Dec 26 – Dec 30 2006
$445 – includes lodging in Boone-NC, all meals, 3 days of ski slope action (tubing optional) at Sugar Mountain, equipment rentals, and 2 nights of youth gatherings at Student Life’s Worship Event. Transportation will be by coach bus.

In order for this trip to happen we need to see if there are a minimum of 16 students who would plan on joining us. Please send in the registration form along with a $50 non-refundable deposit if you would like to join us no later then NOVEMBER 13th . This is a hard deadline –further information about the trip will be sent out soon after Nov. 13th.*

We hope you’ll join us as we frolic in the mountains- post Christmas!!! It should be jolly good fun!!!
