Digital papermelon - welcome to the world of the blog. As Amelia reminded me today, the blog is an online journal - a place to create and venture...how exciting. Well here it goes and reply, post, and comment at will....

The 2005 summer was amazing!!! The youth group ventured to far regions of north america and back. One of my favorite memories is from Jekyll Island - Fun In The Sun (big youth camp) - just standing in an arena with thousands of students singing along to David Crowder, more like screaming and dancing and crowd surfing I would say..... it was such a powerful moment ....people connecting to their creator - oh so cool. (almost as cool as Cole Nesmith's hair). Mexico was amazing, seeing two houses advanced in construction becuse of the hands of our high schoolers was incredible. They were apart of the creation of not only a new home, but a new life..... Who could forget two incredible God moving nights at South Dakota with our Mid High crew - how we felt so connected in mission, purpose, and body .... or the calmness of the plains.

And finally Great Escape - this last week, although challenging for me because it was the last trip, was so fun - crud war, waterslide, ice cold springs, country music - (please, no more) - Saftey Steve & Skittles - the first origional Candy Rapper, Curt, Rocky, and of course - Jethro Jeb & Pluto Pete ...........

What a great summer!!! We were truly blessed - mad props to all of you who came out!! I hope you all had as much as fun as I did. Now it's time to gear up for the school year - so we can have a great year and another great summer. Happy cloths shopping.....time for melissa to take a nap.
